Why mouth breathing didn't affect my mandible?

I've always been mouth breather for as long as I can remember. And this long period of mouth breathing gave me a deviated septum (hooked nose) and crooked teeth(I'm not talking about slightly, very crooked, which made my chin even worse).

What I don't understand is that how my mandible stayed intact. My jawline is visible. I've shared my photo on several sites and they all said that even though you're a mouth breather you still have forward growth and gonial angle. What do you think about this? Mouth breathing really didn't affect my mandible?

Did you also use to have a turtle neck? (forward head posture)

Yes. But now I make sure to have correct head posture.
