Vitamin K2/calcium ratio

Does anyone have any idea of the kind of quantity of calcium that should be taken to maximize the use of K2 supplementation?

For example, let's say I take a 150mg pill of MK4. What would be the maximum amount of calcium that that amount of K2 can deal with? The calcium pills I take (food based, Rainbow Nutrition) are 500mg and it says on the container that this is the maximum the body can absorb at one time. But would this figure be higher after taking a good dose of K2? Or is 500mg the maximum the body can take regardless of K2, and the K2 just helps you utilize more of that amount?

I guess what I really want to know is, if I take 3 of those 150mg MK4 pills spread through the day, can I take a 500mg pill of calcium with each one? Will the MK4 always make sure that all of this calcium goes where it's supposed to, or is that too much? Alternatively, is 500mg too little to take with 150mg of MK4?

i think you get enough calcium in through the day by just a regular diet

and building new bone is not all about calcium it's about so many more thing think about magnesium vitamin D etc

Would be better off adding magnesium over calcium to take in tandem with vitamin K because the body has a good way of flushing out excess magnesium if you accidently take too much... no such protective mechanism with calcium as far as I know. Also taking that much calcium supplement, then accounting for food, you will most likely be going over the upper daily limit for calcium!

Remember this pain... and let it activate you.

Better off spreading your calcium and mk4.

For me i have a multi mineral that has 750mg of calcium in and then take 1mg of mk4.

Then in the evening i eat an egg shell and take another 1mg of mk4.

Ideally i would probably take a bigger dose of mk4 ...maybe 3mg and do it 3x per day, but it is expensive.

I am happy to go slow and steady and review in 6 months.

But what I'm curious about is, wouldn't adding a high-ish dose of K2 mean that one's upper daily limit for calcium was higher than usual? In as much as the calcium is theoretically going to end up where it's supposed to go, instead of causing problems elsewhere in the body.

Do you not worry about the possibility of salmonella in the egg shells?

I very much doubt the danger, the eggshells are the first part of the egg to be hit by the boiling water. I've eaten many eggshells and am fine. If you are worried, hard boil the egg instead of soft boil.

I didn't, i do now. I don't even steam them....just run the shell under the tap for a bit and hope for the best. Worked for me so far.

i am not even vouching for this, only been experimenting with it for a few months. Will try and get a year in before i will put my name to it.

but like anything, we are all doing multiple 'looksmaxs' we don't really know what is doing what.

i am on

calcium

Mk4

Proviron

Mk677

Ostarine

msgnesium

zinc

10,000 iu of vit D

now if in my head my chin grows, what do i put it down too?

all i know is...people with acromegaly get extreme growth and they won't be taking any of the tablets i take and the body still builds masses of bone. HGH is all that matters, but i experiment for peace of mind.
