Do teeth tip back after using a removable expander?

I haven't seen any tipping with my palate expander, and I'd be surprised if it actually happens.

When you chew, your teeth come together, just like the teeth of a zipper. If there was tipping, it's probably self corrected by this process.

@thomas22

what expander are you using?

im currently using the yplate expander but looks as if I’m molars have tipped slightly and I am having resistance expanding any further. Currently on 8.75mm and can not turn every other day like I used to so I’m actually turning every 3-5 days which I read some people are doing.

@s1m0 And you too my friend.

 I thought it was 36.4, that's what I remembered, but looking at my paperwork from the doctor, it may have been 38.4mm.

With your Y-plate, does it have three screws? If so, what is the measurement of one screw turn from each side? Would it be .125mm for a combined total of .25mm for both?

@averive On the y plate from bracesshop I received, one turn is 0.4mm. So in theory if you were to do a full turn on both L and R it would be 0.8mm
