Redeveloping Overbite

I've been mewing for about 6 months now and I have seen great improvement to my cheekbones, but only a small improvement in my chin. I used to have an overbite before I had braces treatment, and it now seems like I am redeveloping that overbite. Now I'm concerned if I'm mewing correctly or not. Sometimes it seems like I can't get the tongue in the exact right place and I often hear or feel a popping sensation when getting the tongue on the roof of the mouth. Is this normal? Will my top and bottom sets of teeth eventually balance out?

Describe your techniques. Also the popping sensation, where is it located and is it a crack or moving sensation. And for your last question, if you're mewing correctly it should ideally prevent this from occurring.

Here are some suggestions from me: Try OMC (open mouth chewing) read about it, it made my chin taller and wider, it also helped with my maxilla.

I attempt to keep my tongue at the roof of my mouth applying little pressure. Sometimes I feel as if my tongue gets twisted up when I try to get it up there, so it can take a while to get it into form. The popping sensation occurs when the tongue reaches the back third of my mouth. Parts of my jaw crack when I'm chewing or if I open my mouth. The jaw cracking doesn't hurt, so I don't really mind it, it almost feels like a sign of progress. I'm inclined to think I'm at least doing something right, as my jaw has widened significantly, and my chin has also improved. I will look into OMC as well, I do a lot of CMC right now.

Jaw cracking/popping is a sign of TMJ and a possible sign that your lower jaw is too far back. If you put your fingers in your ears and open/close the mouth repeatedly, do you feel the bones moving in your ears? That's a sign that the jaw is too far back. If you feel the movement, try jutting your jaw forwards then try it. You don't feel it any more do you? That's where your jaw should be.

Does the cracking stop if you jut your lower jaw out a few mm? If I move mine out just 2-3mm, my TMJ symptoms stop. A clear sign that it needs to come forward, either by surgery or some other way.
