Just got my palate expander, put it in and although it’s not loose, it’s not super tight either.
So do I turn it so it’s super tight?
ive already given it 2 turns, so 1/2 a mm
I noticed that if I tightened too much, it wouldn't feel tight right away. I would notice, though, in the middle of the night, after being asleep for a while, a significant tightness almost to the point of pain.
Also, if you bite down, and then you feel the metal wires that surround the molars bend with each bite, then that's another way to tell that you've tightened too much.
Just my own observations.
