Choosing Doctor for MSE + FM for Class III Bite

First of all, whoever made and has contributed to this board, thank you. I have created 2 topics today for 2 different issues. This one is more urgent if that's relevant.

1. I've still got a lot of reading to do but I contacted Won Moon to see if he could see me so I can do MSE with Face Mask treatment for my class iii bite. He told me he no longer takes private patients, however, he does oversee his student clinic in UCLA once a week, so he gave me the clinic's number so that tomorrow I can schedule an appointment at UCLA.

My problem is that, I assume this means I would be treated by students (I'd rather be treated by a licensed professional).

I also did some research and discovered Won Moon's former private practice, and it is still run by his business partner Dr. MacGinnis who apparently was taught by Won Moon, just solo now (This clinic was mentioned here before):

https://orthodontistfullerton.com/

Dr. MacGinnis seems competent (he worked with and learned under Won Moon) and seems to offer good financing.

So my question is... who should I see? I will be in Los Angeles in about 2 weeks and that's my only current window. I would love to ask Won Moon how involved he'd be in the treatment if I went to UCLA but I cannot wait for his reply as he took weeks just to respond the first time; I am leaning towards Dr. MacGinnis.

2. To those who have done/are doing MSE such as @Varbrah, before I attend the appointment with whichever Doctor I choose,  what advice if any can you give me? Anything I should specifically bring up? Are there specific X-Rays or scans I need to bring in?

I'm excited for what's to come; I will be tagging all topics I start with my name so anyone can find them easily, and once my treatment starts, I'd love to contribute to this community!

Thanks in advance.

Update:

I've scheduled a consultation with Dr. MacGinnis ( https://orthodontistfullerton.com/doctors/meet-dr-macginnis/ ).

However, I will also set one up with another Orthodontist in the area, Dr. Ting ( http://www.tingortho.com/meet-us/meet-the-doctor/ ). I'm doing so because:

1.) When I spoke on the phone with Dr. MacGinnis' front desk, she seemed unaware of MSE, kept asking if I want an expander and braces (didn't seem to know about MSE in adults) and when I pushed her on whether Dr. MacGinnis is able to do it she said she believes so and that options will be discussed once he sees me.

2.) Dr. Ting explicitly advertises MSE on his website ( http://www.tingortho.com/treatment-information/maxillary-skeletal-expander/ ), this makes me think the receptionist will be educated on the subject and can answer my question with more clarity.

I'll update again when I confirm my appointment with Dr. Ting.

Just joined the forum and interested in if you've chosen to do MSE. I live in Los Angeles and am looking for a provider.

Hey guys,

I live in LA as well. Melius posted two out of the three MSE practitioners that I'm aware of. Another one is located in Koreatown, which can be found here: https://www.draudreyyoon.com/about/meet-the-doctor/ . She is literally right next door to where I live, but I haven't gotten around to scheduling an appointment with her or any of the other practitioners in the area. Please keep us updated on how things go.
