I tried face pulling for about 2 weeks and i applied pressure with my thumb mostly to the back part of the palate. And there definitley was movement over those 2 weeks, cause my cheeks became more prominent. But the issue is that I’ve had a constant dry mouth and throat for 2 months now. And I have to do something about it now, cause it’s starting to affect my mental health.
My theory is that because I applied pressure mostly on the back part of the maxilla it created a clockwise titlt, instead of moving the whole maxilla up and forwards. So the tilt is almost vertical (up at the back part and sloping down to the front) instead of a horisontal tilt as it should be.
I don’t want to do any surgery to fix this, but I haven’t tried applying pressure to the front part of the maxilla either to make the tilt more horizontal, cause I’m worried I will make it worse. But maybe I should try. All I know is that I can’t go with this discomfort and dryness 24/7 in the back of my mouth/throat.
