Facepulling idea. Has anyone tried it?

I'm thinking about implementing a weighted face pulling exercise. I've been mewing for more than a year now, I workout every day, and I've done neck exercises so the neck strength won't be an issue.
The exercise consist in biting a towel mostly with the molars, because I broke my front teeth and I don't want to pull anything with them.
This Image shows the way I'll set up the towel in my mouth:

I'll tie a rope/string to the towel, and also to the weights like pic:

Today I tried it for the first time and could lift 10kg for half a minute or so. I will be doing 3-4 sets of that. What do you think? Has anyone tried something similar? What can i achieve with this?

for what purposes? neck/jaw strength?

if you're face pulling for expansion you don't really want to be pulling downwards

do anyone know what should be the rest period? how many days a week to let bone recover (using this to expand palate, but not vertically, and with hands using to pull towel)

jaw strength and bone expansion, simulating the pulling of connective tissue/meat from bone and other hard foods.
In the picture the rope isn't aligned with the mouth but imagine it is. The pulling force will be completely aligned with the teeth, it's just that my body will be inclined.
Would you say ideally the force should be going a little up? that would upswing the maxilla right?

I just found this POST that seems like it's talking about a similar exercise.

If you're eating enough you could be doing this every day in my opinion. Just check if your masseters have doms or you can feel any soreness in your jaw and if not go ahead.
If you're scared maybe do one day with higher pulling force for lower duration and one with lighter force for longer duration etc... and go from there.

i don't plan to use this for muscle hypertrophy, do you progressive overload with the time keeping it static, or do you lift it like in the video?
lifting is going to workout neck alot whats point of needing it?

also time > force, according to it i do hourly semi-hard(split the suture) expension facepulls with towel, and thumbs.

progress time first then weight, for example start with 10kg * 30 secs and progress by 5-10 seconds until 60-90 seconds per set, and then increase weight and reduce time back to 30 seconds.
example:
day 1 : 3 sets 10kg x 30 secs
day 2: 3 sets 10kg x 40 secs
day 3: 3 sets 10kg x 50 secs
day 4 : 3 sets 10kg x 60 secs
day 5: 3 sets 12.5kg 30 secs ( or even 15kg)
etc...
there are many ways of doing it, find one you like.
I do it sitting down, not standing up like in the video.
It is going to train your neck, you can do mckenzie chin tucks for reps while biting the towel, this way you train your neck muscle/posture as well as masseters and pulling your maxilla/jaw forward.

But you might be right, doing it multiple times during the day might be better than one short session. Like a Grease the Groove of facepulling.

had another idea. something similar but pulling sideways.

biting the towel in this manner, it can be the two ends of the same towel or two towels. Biting with as many teeth as possible to decrease the chance of loosening any molars.
this one i'll pull with my own hands because its easier.

@mateogon i'ld recommend checking astrosky's video about thumbpulling, as i know it splits the suture so u need to be hard, and do it all the time to prevent losing widthening, its about hourly exercise too.

I watched most of his videos long ago, and did thumb pulling for some time but I find it kinda gross to put your fingers inside your mouth like that and it's not much force at all. I want to do it hard core now with weights and progressive overload. Btw this thing has more benefits than just expanding the palate like weighted mckenzie tucks and masseter hypertrophy. The only problem is i'll be pulling from the teeth and not from the soft/hard palate, but men in the past used the bite to eat hard foods, make tools, process leather/skin, etc, but they didn't push their palates with the thumbs sooo...
